The Secret of Treasure Island

I write to invite you to sail with us on the adventure of your life . . . The Secret of Treasure Island!

We will be using the Children Desiring God curriculum, and will be adopting a slight change in format. We believe this format will be a better, and more effective way, to reach out to the kids. All will be explained during the two training sessions we have organised.

The materials have arrived and we can distribute them once we have the teaching team in order. We hope we can get a team together quickly so that we can start looking at the new curriculum, and exchange ideas. We have curriculum trainers to help the teaching team navigate this new format.

The material is different from Lifeway, more in depth, but not more difficult to use. In fact, a lot of the resources are provided for us. What I love about this curriculum is that the teaching is solid and that it is something the kids, whether SS or unchurched, will definitely benefit from.

The committee took a lot of time to pray and consider (and lots of sailing back and forth!) before we agreed to use this curriculum. Both pastors were also consulted and are entirely in support of this decision.

This is a new beginning for us. We need a dedicated new team who shares the same vision we do to effectively present the good news.

Come join us on this high sea adventure! I promise it will bring blessings, in many ways, for all of us. We know that God will go before us and will equip us in the most unfathomable ways when we trust in Him. We will discover treasures that God has in store for us, even as we lead these kids to discover that Jesus is the real treasure.

Registration forms are in the foyer. Please sign up!
